No surprise! When you are going to the beach make sure to at least bring 30+ SPF sunscreen, unless you are purposefully looking to get sunburned. For those people who are allergic especially, having sunscreen is of the utmost importance. Sunscreen protects you from the harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun, and depending the region, certain places have higher UV than others. If you are going to a tropical country near the equator, this is a MUST!
If you are going there to relax and not creep on people, it’s best to bring some equipment to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The essentials include towels, trunks, a mattress, beverages, frisbee, football, and anything else that will make your travel more enjoyable. If you like running around the beach while you show off those abs, you could bring a pair of earbuds and an mp3 player.
This is for the people who enjoy a quiet time with some nice background noise. The waves crashing against the shore might actually help you concentrate and make your reading experience more pleasant. There are plenty of good bookstores, such as Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and even local shops if you happen to be lucky.
You will be surprised to know how open people can be to meeting different people on the beach. Everyone is having a good time and most of them should be in a good mood. They might even be travelers themselves trying to find ways of entertainment. You never know if there is local party going on, or whether you will meet the next love of your life.
Most of all, have fun with your experience. Traveling should not be about the pictures and the bragging rights. It should be about being in the present moment and making the best out of your journeys. If you are traveling alone especially, don’t feel weird for going to the beach by yourself. As long as you are open to meeting new people and are comfortable with yourself, people will realize that self-assured attitude.
