KAMALA BEACH :
Kamala beach is a Muslim fishing village north of Patong. Kamala is mostly for families who wants to stay close to a good beach that is not so developed for tourists as Patong, Karon and Kata to the south. Most of the tourist restaurants and bars are located in a small compact area along the southern part of the beach. Kamala Beach has golden sand which gently slope into the warm clear Andaman Sea. For travellers seeking a compromise between Patong beach and places with absolutely no facilities, Kamala beach is an excellent choice. Here will you find lots of tailor shops, restaurants, bars, diving shops, massage shop, guest house’s and a 7-Eleven. The beach is beautiful and about 2 kms. in length. The southern end of this beautiful bay has a coral reef just a few metres offshore. Kamala is a good area for watersports. You and your family can relax on the day of unwinding, and enjoyable sunbathing on Kamala Beach in a luxuriant tropical environment.
