Phuket Surin Beach

SURIN BEACH :

Surin Beach lies a few kilometres north of Kamala, and has one of the most beautiful beaches on Phuket Island. Surin Beach has always been famous for its crystal clear water. After swimming in the clear water at Surin, you will never again want to go back to Patong Beach. During peak season from November to April the crystal clear water is calm and suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Umbrella chairs can be rented on the beach and there’s usually a speedboat for banana boat rides and water-skiing.
There is good snorkelling offshore when the sea is calm. Popular activities here are sea kayaking, surfing and body boarding. During the rainy season there is a strong rip current and the waves can be quite big making it a dangerous beach to go swimming.Surin beach is also the location of the first golf course in Thailand built by the King of Thailand that is why on many afternoons you will see Thai golfers practicing their swings and chips. In terms of accommodation, Surin Beach offers an extensive array of choices ranging from small guests houses to mid-range hotels to high-end luxury resorts like the TwinPalms Hotel at Surin Beach. Along the road are plenty of shops, small supermarkets plus naturally Thai restaurants.
