Coral Island is one of the busiest snorkeling locations due to its close proximity to the main island of Phuket. It’s only 15 mins. by speedboat or 30 mins. by ferry from Phuket. Coral island is surrounded by colourful coral reefs and situated 9 km off the south east coast of Phuket. Crystal clear water make it perfect for water activities, especially snorkelling, water-skiing, para-sailing and scuba diving. There are two beaches on the island, Long beach, quite crowded, busy and only remnants of the previous coral reefs, and Banana Beach. The main beach can get a little busy during the daytime. There’s one place where you can go powersnorkeling: Banana Beach on Coral Island.
