KOH NAKA YAI ISLAND :

Koh Naka Yai is a small island 10 minutes by long-tail boat from Ao Por pier off the east coast of Phuket. Koh Naka Yai is located in the bay of Phang Nga in Southern Thailand, an island, shaped in the form of the Naka a Sea-Serpent from which it takes its name. Koh Naka Yai is rapidly transforming from a sparsely inhabited fisherman’s island to an upscale resort getaway. Koh Naka Yai is the postcard image of paradise – beaches of fine white sands lined with coconut trees, and incredible views across Phang Nga Bay, no roads, and (so far) very little noise aside from chirping birds and cicadas. The longest beach is located on the east side and has chairs and umbrellas for rent. You can swim with a mask in the coastal waters and enjoy the rich underwater world surrounding the island. The views across the sea are awesome. You can rent a boat to travel to the island of Naka Noi, where are the unique pearls. Recently Koh Naka Yai has been developed into an eco-friendly tourist destination. Tenta Nakara is the only Luxury Tent – Island Resort on the entire Island. The lack of electricity on this small – unspoiled Island hideaway enhances the genuine feeling of inner peace. Guests are provided with oil lamps and candles used for light while electricity are generated and used only in the restaurant area.
